SpeakTime: Talking Clock & Chime is designed as a privacy-first, offline talking clock and chime app. The app helps users stay aware of time through voice time announcements, chime reminders, silent hours, schedules, profiles, and widgets.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

SpeakTime does not require account signup or login.

SpeakTime does not collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Location
- Contacts
- Photos or videos
- Microphone recordings
- Calendar data
- Health data
- Personal messages
- Advertising ID
- Analytics data in the initial version

SpeakTime does not use ads.

SpeakTime does not use social login.

SpeakTime does not record audio. The app uses Android Text-to-Speech to speak the time.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

SpeakTime may store app settings locally on your device, including:
- Selected announcement interval
- Selected voice language
- Time format
- Silent hours settings
- Voice pitch and speed settings
- Chime settings
- Profile settings
- Widget settings
- Premium unlock status cache

This information is stored locally to make the app work properly. It is not used for advertising or tracking.

3. Internet and Cloud Use

SpeakTime’s core talking clock and chime features are designed to work offline.

The app does not require internet for normal time announcements, silent hours, schedules, profiles, or widgets.

If Google Play Billing is used for lifetime premium purchase, purchase processing is handled securely by Google Play. SpeakTime does not store your card, bank, or payment details.

4. Permissions Used

SpeakTime may request the following permissions depending on your device and Android version:

Notification permission:
Used to show ongoing controls such as pause, resume, and stop while SpeakTime is active.

Foreground service permission:
Used to keep user-enabled time announcements running reliably while showing an ongoing notification.

Exact alarm permission:
Used only for user-facing scheduled time announcements where accurate timing is part of the core talking clock function.

Receive boot completed permission:
Used to restore the user’s active schedule after device restart.

Battery optimization settings:
Some Android devices may delay background work. SpeakTime may guide users to battery settings for reliable time announcements.

5. What SpeakTime Does Not Do

SpeakTime does not:
- Show ads
- Sell user data
- Share personal data with advertisers
- Track location
- Read contacts
- Record microphone audio
- Access photos or videos
- Require login
- Provide medical diagnosis
- Claim to treat any medical condition

6. Premium Purchase

SpeakTime may offer a one-time lifetime premium purchase through Google Play Billing.

Payment processing is handled by Google Play. SpeakTime does not store payment card or bank details.

7. Children’s Privacy

SpeakTime is a general utility app and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not require login, location, contacts, microphone recording, or ads.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when app features change. If any new data collection, cloud sync, analytics, ads, or account feature is added in the future, this policy and the Play Console Data Safety section must be updated.
